Pruning will help keep your plumeria tree to a smaller size and help remove dead and diseased branches. The best time to prune plumeria is early spring. The branches you pruned will produce more branches, usually 2 or 3. The new branches will have to grow enough to produce bloom. Normally require a full growing season and not producing bloom until the next year.
