A very important and often overlooked fact is that a plumeria is grown from seed is a seedling of the parent and not the same as the parent. Even if the flowers look like the parent's flowers and shares the same fragrance, a seedling is still a seedling and the DNA is different from the parent! Most seedling will revert back to whites or pale pinks.
